Only when you run AAA games, you will know the loud noise is definitely not normal. And people will tell you, well this is not a optimal temp but still in normal range. In fact, even you just run some small games that there is no loud fan noise, the GPU temp is still around 84. And we just don’t realize it before the loud noise shows up. The thermal paste maybe has been dried out. The only reason I can figure out is thermal paste. If it is, then what is the possibility of having two GPU and both having the problem? And both GPU have passed the diagnosis. They fixed the problem by ask for a replacement from retailers or repasting.Īt last, I want to share my feeling of the reason why we will have the problem.įirst, I don’t think the problem is caused by some tech default. The only difference that they are using gigabytes 2080ti. From my experience, do not believe the thing that Dell keeps saying, "it will be fixed by BIOS update." It won’t. If you are out of warranty, then I recommend you to repaste the thermal pastes of the GPU. Then ask for one more replacement until fixed. If you have a bad luck like me, the replacement won’t fix the problem.

If you are lucky, you will have a refurbished GPU that can fix this problem. If you have the warranty, ask for a replacement of the GPU. You should have similar curve if you have the identical problem with me. This is weird because there is no change in percentage but the RPM shows the problem. If the GPU temp is always around 84-85, the fan speed is 60% for most of time and it will increase to almost 100% when the noise happens, then you know the problem is from GPU. Since there is no GPU fan speed in AWCC, most of us don’t even know which fan makes the noise. The second thing is you need to have some third party application to check your GPU temp and fan speed. If they are quite flat when the loud fan noise shows up. The first thing is you need check the history of top fan and front fan speed. If you google it or search related content in the community, you can find some people who have similar problem.

This is a known issue and has been reported to Dell by lots of people.

#GPU Z CHANGE FAN SPEED DRIVER#
Would anyone be able to support in helping to resolve this please? Can a driver cause this much racket? These are my profiles and a video of what it is doing.
#GPU Z CHANGE FAN SPEED FULL#
Now when I run "any game" the fan will cut in at almost full RPM for a couple of seconds every 10 seconds consistently.

I then bought Cyberpunk and installed the latest Nvidia drivers and Geforce experience. I've had this since September 20 (yes I was a sap coming from console not aware of the 30 series cards being inbound).Īnyhow when I first got the pc it was from what I recollect pretty quiet throughout and I rarely had any fan cut in when I first used. I bought an R11 with a 2080ti and 10900 in it.
